November 3 at 19.00, at the National Center for Contemporary Arts at 47 Nezavisimosti Ave., the opening of the exhibition of Pavel Shappo "Stories"will take place.
Pavel Shappo’s creative activity is dynamic and multifaceted.
He is an artist in the broadest sense of the word: a theater and film artist, an easel painter, an interior designer, a screenwriter, a writer-author of short stories-miniatures, subtle and expressive in their ability to convey the emotional state of the lyrical hero. All directions of Pavel Shappo’s creative activity are organically connected and inseparable.
Verbal images take on visible forms in the artist’s paintings. They have the same understatement and strangeness. The spontaneous "randomness" of compositional decisions is thoughtfully verified.
The artist’s works are a script and a kind of storyboard for the film of his life.
The exhibition "Stories" includes new series of the author:
— Abandoned Centaur Garden
— Go-Go-Golf
— Hokku
Each series is inseparably linked with the author’s literary sketches.
The exhibition will last until December 20.
A number of cultural and educational events are planned as part of the exhibition.
