European interpretation of the ancient myth of the great battle with the monster. Ariadne holds in her hands the skull of her brother, the bull-man. She fell in love with the beautiful Theseus and helped him defeat the Minotaur, but betrayal did not bring her happiness. The sprouts of the larch, called the eternal tree, the mourning glove on the hand symbolize from now on the eternal pangs of conscience to which Ariadne is doomed. Its contradictory image is likened to a bullfight, giving both life and death at the same time, personifying the mythical battle of man with his inseparable animal nature.
