Lithography. 100 × 70

Before us is a young woman who has chosen the difficult path of selfless service to Christ and her native France. The naked body in this case is a symbol of defenselessness, the fragility of the flesh, opposed to the strength of the soul. In accordance with the Christian tradition, the story of Joan is told in the language of symbols — it is a cross of martyrdom entwined with thorns, a crown of heavenly glory and an angel praising the victory of the human spirit. Lithograph "Jeanne D’Arc" is in the collection of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus
