The queen of Egypt, who committed suicide following the example of her lover, the Roman general Mark Antony, when Egypt was conquered by Rome. The work does not reflect historical facts, and there are no attributes of royalty. The image of Cleopatra is presented in its human dimension. It is the image of a beautiful and perfidious woman, a fatal seductress who will not spare anyone, even herself, on the way to the goal. The image of a deadly snake wrapped around her arm echoes the purple material flowing along the queen's body, suggesting the cold-blooded serpent nature of Cleopatra. The lithograph "Cleopatra" is in the collection of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus.
